Job Search tips and resources💡
To anyone who has been applying to jobs for a bit, this shouldn’t come as a surprise. A lot of companies either simply forget to take down filled positions or leave it open to “farm” resumes.
Key takeaway: Spend more time networking to understand open roles, for example, the author of this post recommends spending 80% of the time networking and 20% on job boards.
We are also hearing from multiple job seekers that the interview process is taking longer with multiple rounds and take home assignments. This is especially true for larger companies.
Key takeaway: Prepare for a longer process, target smaller companies/business as they usually have shorter hiring cycles.

Is Vibe Coding the Future? 🧑🏻💻
Andrej Karpathy, one of the original co-founders of OpenAI coined the term “Vibe Coding”. Essentially you let AI take over the development process occasionally stepping in only to prompt it.
I tried it recently with Cursor and attempted to clone one of my favorite apps Instapaper. It took me a good few hours of prompting (and begging) the AI overlords. But in the end I had my very own clone of Instapaper, yay, I no longer had to pay $5 per month subscription fee!
This got me thinking, what exactly is the future of micro SaaS apps that solve a niche pain point if everyone can vibe code their way into cloning it? How will apps differentiate themselves in a world where the barrier to coding is non existent? Some food for thought.
