Jobs lost due to AI — where is the real data?

Everyone's been saying that jobs are being lost due to AI, especially entry level jobs. However most sources cited are just opinions from those in the industry.

I’m not saying jobs won’t be lost to AI, I’m saying it might be premature to declare this at present, especially since the data says something else. The labor market data shows unemployment among college graduates is at 2.7% and it has been much higher at other times in history — it was 3.3% in 2003 and 4.6% in 2011.

Additionally companies are also rolling back AI initiatives after realizing AI is not all its made out to be. More on that below.

This is similar to what other companies in the space like Klarna and Shopify have done. Moreover actual productivity gains due to AI remain unproven.
