They Want to Use AI...But Judge You for It?

Most job seekers prefer to interact with a human over an AI (Duh) during interviews. But how do you prepare for an AI first world?

Putting the Human in Human Resources

In a survey conducted among 1000 job seekers, 84% said they prefer to have a human conduct the initial interview rather than AI.

In another poll, 64% said they’d consider not applying to companies that rely on generative AI during the hiring process.

Companies discouraging employees from using AI in their applications.

Yet, here’s the irony: companies are quick to use AI to streamline their workflows, but raise eyebrows when job seekers do the same. Doesn’t seem fair, does it?

What about you — would you be okay being interviewed by AI, or is that a hard no?

🎨 Should You Try an Infographic Resume?

I was recently at the library, reading a copy of the Infographic Resume. It was really interesting and puts a creative twist to traditional ATS friendly templates.

These are especially powerful for creative roles or when you’re trying to cut through the noise and stand out.

Here’s why you might want to give it a shot:

✅ Visual Impact: Recruiters often skim resumes in seconds. An infographic layout helps key info pop immediately.

📊 Creativity: Bar graphs, icons, and timelines can make your strengths and experience easier (and more fun) to digest.

🧠 Demonstrates design thinking: Even if you’re not a designer, showing that you understand presentation, colors, and story-telling says a lot.

📁 Great for Social Media: Visuals dominate social media, sharing your infographic resume on LinkedIn or attaching it as a featured post is bound to bring in more eyeballs to your profile.
